Wholesale Phone Chargers Buying Guide 2026: PD, GaN, MOQ & Certifications

Chargers are the highest-turnover accessory in phone retail — and the easiest category to get wrong at wholesale. Buy the wrong plug standard, skip the compliance paperwork, or stock last year’s wattage, and inventory sits. This guide covers the decisions that matter when you order phone chargers in bulk.

1. Start with the wattage mix, not a single model

A healthy charger shelf in 2026 covers three tiers:

  • 20W USB-C PD — the volume seller. Charges every current iPhone and most Androids at full speed. This should be 50–60% of your charger order.
  • 33–45W dual-port (USB-C + USB-A) — the household charger. One unit serves two devices and covers tablets.
  • 65W+ GaN — the premium tier for laptop-plus-phone users. Higher margin, lower volume.

If you only have budget for one SKU, take the 20W PD. If you have shelf space for three, follow the mix above. Browse the full range in our cell phone chargers catalog and wall chargers collection.

2. GaN or standard silicon?

GaN (gallium nitride) chargers run cooler and pack more wattage into a smaller body. At wholesale they cost more per unit, but they justify a visibly higher retail price — the size difference sells itself on the shelf. Our rule of thumb: standard silicon for 20W commodity chargers where price wins, GaN from 33W upward where design and size become the selling point.

3. Protocols: what “fast charging” actually requires

Match protocols to the phones your market carries:

  • PD 3.0 / PPS — iPhone and Samsung Galaxy fast charging. Non-negotiable in Western markets.
  • QC 3.0/4.0 — still relevant for older Androids and budget devices.
  • Proprietary protocols (SuperVOOC, HyperCharge) — only matter if your market is heavy on Oppo/OnePlus/Xiaomi; these phones fall back to PD at reduced speed otherwise.

Every listing in our charger catalog states supported protocols, so you can match stock to your local device base before asking for a quote.

4. Plug standards and mixed cartons

US, EU and UK plugs are different SKUs at the factory. If you sell across markets (or run an EU store serving the UK), ask whether mixed-plug cartons are possible — most of our charger lines support mixing plug types within the same quantity tier, which keeps your MOQ achievable while covering both markets.

5. Certifications: the paperwork that clears customs

For bulk charger imports expect to need:

  • CE (EU) / UKCA (UK) / FCC (US) — market access marks. Confirm per SKU, not per brand.
  • RoHS — restricted substances, required in the EU and increasingly checked elsewhere.
  • Test reports on request — serious suppliers provide them before you pay, not after.

Ask for the documentation in your first inquiry. If a supplier hesitates, that is your answer.

6. Packaging: retail box vs bulk polybag

The same charger typically prices meaningfully lower in bulk polybag packaging versus individual retail boxes. Repair shops and service channels should default to polybag; retail shelves need the box. Decide before you ask for quotes — it changes both unit price and carton count.

7. Planning MOQ and a first order

A realistic first bulk charger order for a single store is a few hundred units across 3–4 SKUs; distributors typically start around four figures. Quantity tiers apply to the combined order, so mixing wall chargers, car chargers, desktop charging stations and wireless chargers in one shipment is the standard way to hit a better tier without over-stocking one model.

Ready to compare quotes?

Shortlist SKUs from the charger catalog, then send one inquiry with quantities, destination country and packaging preference. ANKAW replies with tiered pricing, compliance documentation and lead time — usually within 24 hours.
